New to Yoga?
Have you, or a friend, heard plenty of wonderful things about Yoga, yet to date not quite made it into a class? If so, would you feel a little more confident about venturing in if you knew that everyone in the class were a total beginner, like you?
Participating in our short beginners’ course will give you the knowledge you need to get a great head start on your yoga journey. You will learn the basics, the terminology, the adaptations you may require, and which, of the many different styles of yoga we offer, are most suitable to help you achieve your personal goals.
These classes will set you up for a great and rewarding practice and are open to men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
Newbie Yogi 4 Week Course
A Yogalilies Yoga Beginners or Foundation Course is the ideal (but not the only) way to begin your practice and discover yoga in a safe and fun space. It is perfect for beginners and suitable for anyone looking to revisit the fundamentals of yoga.
The practice builds week-by-week, introducing you to the basics of yoga postures (asanas), sequencing, healthy alignment and breath techniques (pranayama). Instruction in meditation and relaxation techniques will also be given.
You will receive personal attention from an experienced teacher and will work at a pace that ensures learning as well as improvement in posture, breath, tone, strength, flexibility and a greater ability to cope with stress.
This course creates a strong and safe foundation from which you can confidently investigate the different styles of yoga in any of Yogalilies’ level one classes. Please inform your teacher before class if you have any form of injury or serious illness, or if you are pregnant or have recently had a baby.

A 4-week ‘Improvers’ course will help you grow stronger and more confident in your yoga practice. It is designed for those who have some experience of yoga or have recently competed a beginners course and would like extra guidance as they start to delve deeper into regular yoga classes and experiment with more challenging yoga postures.
This series of 4 classes will explore themes across yoga asana practice, as well as yoga philosophy, deepening your understanding of different yoga postures and their benefits, as well as introducing more breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to help you reduce stress and build a meditation practice.

Newbie Yogi Workshop
A 2.5 hour workshop for introducing the basics of yoga. Explore alignment and breathing along with basic asana (poses) and relaxation techniques. Geared for the brand new beginner or those curious about yoga. 1 week unlimited yoga classes included – the week immediately following the workshop to help get your yoga on!.
If you want to try yoga but don’t know your down dogs from your cat curls, then this workshop is for you. The beginners Yoga workshop is an introduction to Hatha Yoga in a laid back fun and friendly class. All equipment is provided and there will be no more than twelve students to ensure you get lots of one-on-one attention.
Yoga can help reduce stress, tone up the body and liven the mind, so come see if there’s a yogi inside you trying to come out!
